Hughes of the firm of Hughes and Sons, wool-brokers. Dr Ahearne, ot Queensland, who went Home to advance the separation of that colony, has been lecturing in the interest of the North, and demanded avtohemy for that district. Mr Harold Halton said that the North had never had a fair share of loans, but Mr Garrick, AgentGeneral, denied that there had been any partiality in the distribution of them, and insisted on the advantage to be gained by the colony remaining intact. Mr Murray Hatton presided. The wheat market generally is weaker Australian wheat vx warehouse is 6d lower. No sales of cargo on passage have been effected. The craps are looking healthy.
