Handicap.— Victoria 1, Bayard 2, Cinderella 3. At the fall of the flag Speculation took the lead, and maintained it to the straight, with Bayard on her quarters, Victoria and Victory together, next, and Armourer and Cinderella lying last At the back of the course Cinderella and Armourer improved their positions. Bayard led past the stand the second time, with Victory and Cinderella close up. At the mile and a half post Speculation dropped to the rear, and coming over the hill Victoria got the lead and and held it to the finish, winning by two lengths from Bayard, Cinderella third, Armourer fourth, Victory fifth, and Speculation last. Time, 3mis 50 1-Jth sec. Dividend £14 16s. Welter Handicap. — Cinderella 1, Euapehu 2, Volunteer 3. Dividend £1 14s. Flying Handicap. — Cinderella 1, Hagar 2, Octopus 3. Dividend £2.
