Cbeuteb's tbleobams.) ! London, March 14. Mr Gladstone has submitted to the j Cabinet his Irish land purchase ! scheme. It provides that money be advanced by the Treasury and that the Irish Parliament, which it is proposed to create, shall control the expenditure. March 21. In the House of Commons yesterday, the Premier stated that he hoped some time during next week to be able to name a day for a statement of the policy of Her Majesty's Government with regard to Ireland. In the meantime Mr Gladstone urged members to be sceptical as to the authenticity of any reports on the subject.
