Arrangements have been concluded whereby two bars will be opened at the forth coming Colonial Exhibition exclusively for the sale of Australian wines. In the House of < ommons last night the Hight Hon. S. Holmes brought forward a motion, of which he liad previously given notice, to the effect that the House declined to vote supplies for Ireland without further information as to the intentions of the Government with regard to that country. After considerable discussion a division was taken with the result that the motion was negatived. The Directors of the Bank of Australia hare declared a dividend for the half year at the rate of 15 per vent, per annum. The sum of £20.000 being brought forward and curried to the re» serve. The weekly report of the Bank of England gives the proportion of reserve to liabilities as £460,000, being 3 per cent, lower than last week. The total reserve of notes and bullion £14,000.000, a decline of £900,000 during the same period. Paris, March 5. Mr John Morley, Cluol Secretary for Ireland, considers another general eleotion probable shortly.
