[PEB UNITBD PBESS ASSOCIATION.] Wellington, February 26. The Stormbird left at 12*30 to-day with sixty representatives foi the Bifle Association meeting, including the Southern, Marlboreugh, and Wellington contingents. Sir Julius Yogel is expected to return to Wellington on Sunday, the Hon. Mr Richardson to-morrow, the Hon. Mr Ballance on Wednesday, and the Hon. Mr Larnach on Tuesday or Wednesday next. A full Cabinet meeting will beheld early next week. A meeting of the Executive was held yesterday, the Gov» ernor presiding. The business was purely formal. Mr Jellicoe, solicitor, has been retained by Messrs Williamson and Son, sharebrokers of the Wellington Woollen Company, to commence an action against Mr J. H. Lance, M.H.R. for Cheviot, tor the alleged slanderous statements he uttered at the Westport banquet to his Excellency the Governor. Blknheim, February 26.
