Fijian News

♦ [per united press association.] Auckland, This Day. H.M.S. Opal arrived at Suava from Samoa on the 12th. She reports there is a strong feeling between tne English and American on the one side and the Germans on the other. King Macketoa visited the Opal and on leaving was saluted with 21 guns. This is significant as the Opal is not a saluting ship, and the Germans are said to have been annoyed at it. The Opal proceeds from Suava to Sydney.
