He estimated the deficit for ihe cmrrent year at nearly one million seven hundred and four thousand pounds. It is prdposed to levy a tax of halfpenny in the pound on real estate and on the capital of all banks and dividend paying companies and all descriptions of good* stored. Probate duties, will also be m> creased. Mr Burns expects to realise six ■ hundred and fifty thousand pounds per.., Annum from the projected new taxation.
