The Dally News, this morning, an- : nounces the following as the per* sonnel of the New Ministry :— Mr Gladstone, Premier and Chancellor of £, the Exchequer; Sir William Vernon, Harcourt, Home Secretary ; Sir John Farrer Herschell, Lord High Chancellor ; Viscount Hampden, Lord v Privy Seal; Mr Childers,. Secretary of War; Mr Chamberlain, First Lord of .j the Admiralty ; Mr Mundella, Proddent of the Board of Trade; And Mir ■■. John Morely, Chief Secretary . -for ..-, Ireland. It is stated that probably EarlSpencer will be appointed Viceroy, ef India, and Lord Kimberley will go to j the Foreign office.; Lord Rosebery, •., the Colonial Secretaryship, and Lord > Granville to be made Lord President _ . of the Council. ;? Mr Gladstone, in the House of <„ Commons last night, announced that' ; he had not altered his views with ; regard to the settlement of Irish affairs .-.% and still adhered to the solution which, he advocate in his recent electoral speeches. . At the same time; he reserved to himself the right to exercise freedom of action on the question. He condemned the Government for giving notice of a resolution to amend \ the rules of parliamentary procedure, and asking that it be treated urgently.
