DISTRIBUTION OF PIECES. The annual School Treat was held in the 'afternoon of Tuesday last when the scholars were mustered at the schoolhouse. They were marched from there to the Oral, where games^^all sorts were indulged in for some time, but in consequence of a suddenjlownfall of rain they had to be brought to a sudden close. The childrdOj^ere - then brought back to the schoolhouse where tea was provided. 3Jhe good . things of this life were in'abimd- '' and the youngsters to, the number of , upwards of three hundred, *did ample " justice to* them. They were they then |; dismissed to. their homes' for a short * time to reassemble^m th» Public Hall in the evening when the distribution of prizes was 4jaade byMrs W.-D. Nicholas, whose hfcsband is chairman of the School Committee. During the proceedings the children sang several songs in excellent style. The FeildBrass Band played a number'of ! ir in their usual efficient • manner.
