Sporting MARTON-RANGITIKEI RACE MEETING.

The annual meeting of the MartonRangitikei Jockey Club was held, at the Bulls course yesterday under very favourauspices. The day was beautifully fine, and as it was a close holiday the attendance was the largest that has been seen for some time on the coarse, it being estimated that over 1000 spectators were present. Speculation led for a mile and a half, 'when Armourer and Vera went to- the front,.the latter coming yeryfast in the last 50: yards, and winning by half a length.
