(BEUTBB'S TRIKOBAMB.) Melbodbmb, December 29. The Victorian general election has been fixed for the 29th February. December 30. The intercolonial cricket match, Victoria r New South Wales, was oonoluded to-day in the presence of a large number of spectators. The match resulted in the defeat of the New South Welshmen by an innings and sixty -nine runs. Beceired December 19, 2.46 a.ra. Mklbocbnk, December 30. A large fire broke out to-dar in the kerosene stores occupied by Jones and Company tituated in the Sandridge road. Owing to the inflammable nature ot the contents of the building all effort! of the firemen were unarailing and the fire is still raging fiercely.
