Feilding Brass Band
On Boxing Night the members of the Feilding Brass Band will give a grand musical and dramatic entertainment in the Public Hall. The object of the promoters is to raise funds to enable them to purchase in London a new set of instruments, with all the latest improvements. We think that this Band has a fair claim on the public for support. They have invariably given their services gratuitously for every public or charitable object. Theira' has always been a self-reliant policy, for the monthly contributions of the members has enabled them to purchase the instruments now in use, without assistance. By dint of constant practice Mr Daw has brought them up to a high standard of excellence. The amateurs who will undertake the dramatic part of the programme are well up in their parts, and have already made their mark on the stage. Several artistes from "Wanganui have kindly volunteered their services, so that everyone who takes a ticket for the show will not only get good value for the money, but will assist in liquidating a debt of gratitude from the Feilding public to the Feilding Brass Band.
