Mr Higgin's New Shop

It is with pleasure that we have to record another addition to the existing number .of business premises in the Borough. We allude to. Mr Higgin's new shop recently erected in Embolton road. The building consists of a shop 20ft x 17ft 6in, fitted up with oounters, shelving and other conveniences ; also a parlor and storeroom of suitable dimensions entering off same. The front of the building presents a substantial and ornamental appearance.- and offers a pleasing variety to the plainly finished style generally adopted for shop fronts in the Borough. The carpenters work has been faithfully- carried out in the best possible manner by the contractor, Mr W. Watts, and the same may be said of .the painting, decorating, and sign writing, in the execution of which considerable skill has been displayed* by Mr BI Gosling. The architect for the building^ is Mr G.-Q. Hill, 0.8.
