Bankruptcy Court
A meeting of creditors in the estate of George Grichton, a bankrupt, was held in the court-house to-day. At noon there were present— Mr G. Crichton, Mr S. Goodbehere, solicitor for the bankrupt, Mr Fennell, for Mr 8. J. Thompson, Mr Skejly. and MrT. B. Chamberlain. After waiting for some time and thg* Deputy Official Assignee not putting in an appearance, Mr Goodbehere saiia that, a $ause in the Baflkruptey |let" made it competent for the meeting' to elect a chairman if the Assignee was not present within half an hous of the advertised time of meeting. It was then resolved, That Mr Goodbehere be appointed. ; On taking the chair he stated jthat the business, of the^ meeting wa^ to, confirm the ; resolution passed at the previous, meeting.' /,/ .. /' .//' :",>■" , •-' After a few remarks Mr Goodbjehere proposed, and Mr Ghamberiain seconded, Tihat the resolution passed at the laat meeting accepting in the £ be ijonftrmed. , T , -j This.was carried, the 1 only dissentient being Mr Fennell, on behalf of S.;J.
