Correspondence
We are not responsible for the opinions J of our correspondents.] ME GOODBEHERE IN EXPLANA- i TION. TO THE EDITOR OF THE STAB. Sir,— l have to request that you will withdraw your statements with reference to myself, in your reply on Saturday to an article in the Advocate, on the subject of the advertisements of the Kiwitea Road Board. In the first place no altercation took place between myself and the chairman of the Road Board on the subject of the advertisement or otherwise. Secondly, I get no commission whatever from the Advocate on the Board's advertisements. Thirdly, the article upon which you commented was not only not inspired by one but I was completely ignorant of the intention of the editor of the Advocate to draw attention to the subject. — I am, &c, Edmd. Goodbehere, Feilding, 12th. October 1885. [We have pleasure in acceding to the above request, it having been shown to our eutire satisfaction that Mr Goodbehere was in no way responsible for the offending article in the Advocate.— Ed. F.S.]
