The following acceptances have been received for the Caulneld Cup, to be run next Saturday :— Archie, Blink Bonny, Britisher, Brown and Rose, Country Boy, Coriolanus, Despot, Dirk Hatterick, Forlorn Hope, Grace Darling, Hilltop, Impulse, Kingship, Lantern, Lennox, Lesbia, Liverpool, Lord Exeter, Lord Wilton, Lucky Hit, Madcap, Minerva, Mozart, Plausible, Prince Imperial, Real Jam, Sardius, St. Lawrence, Signor, Tarpeia, The Andes, Tom Brown, Too Too, Urara, Velocipede Warwieh, Yellow Hammer, Winchester, Anglesey, Vanguard, Black Diamond, Claptrap, Gratitude, Marie Louise, Sirocco, Thakombau, Visim, Welcome Ja(;k, The Israelite. The following horses have been scratched for the Melbourne Cup: — Calma, Clarendon, Frying Pan, and Dagobevt. Tom Brown has been backed for the Caulfield Cup at 13 to 1, and Yellow Hammer at 20 to 1. There is no other alteration to report in the betting. Received October 15, 1.40 a.m. Melbourne, October 11. Archie, Brown and Rose, Warwick, and Thalcambau have been scratched for the Caulneld Cup.
