However much our Palmerston contemporaries may disagree on other points, they are at one in their praise of the above company. The Times says " as a rule we are chary of giving praise to professionals who pass this way, and in strict truth there are. few that deserve it. But the Lawrence Dramatic company is an exception to the rule and we willingly accord it the praise due to merit." The Standard : " Miss Lawrence was simply a thorough success," and speaks of the other characters in equally commendatory terms. We hope to see a good attendance attendance in the Hall to-night, not only for the enjoyment to be received by the audience, but to encourage really good companies to visit us with the certainly of not having to play at a loss.
