Temperance Fete at Wellington
[VSB. UNITED PEEBS ASSOCIATION. Wellington. September 23. A temperance demonstration was held at the Exhibition to-day. The procession, consisting of Bands of Hope and temperance societies, marched through the city to the Exhibition. The procession was a mile long. A half -holiday was proclaimed, and an immense concourse of people turned out to witness it. Later. A temperance reunion was held at the Exhibition to-night in connection with to-day's demonstration. Speeches on temperance were delivered by the Hon. Mr Stout and Mr Fulton, of Dunedin.
