A Doctor Fined $5

(PER UNITED PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Wellington, September 23. Charles Grimes, who was charged with illegally practising as a medical man, appeared at the Resident Magistrate's Cpurt this afternoon and pleaded, not guilty, and he was a member of the Royal College of Surgeons, having passed the examinations, and having paid all fees thereon in ,1872. The Bench imposed a fine of £5 and £3 10s costs, to be recoverable by distress. The defendant said he should appeal.
