Hutt Tarring Case
♦ (FEB UNITED PBKBB ASSOCIATION). Wellington, This Day. The Hutt tarrinK ease came on again at the B.M. Court this morning. Wm Dawson, of the firm of of Dawsen & Co., ironmongers, was examined, bnt his evidence was uftimportaht. Geerge lorns, a partner in the firm, deposed that during the last month a pair of handcuffs were sold by his firm, of which then* was an entry in the sales.beok, giving no name of purchaser, the entry being made by Connal. Witness never saw Mr Waters in the shop. The tar brush produced was the same as those in witness's stock, but could not swear that it was purchased from them. Mr Travel* intimated that lie intended to submit the tar brush to Mr Skey, the analyst, for the purpose of removing the tar on the handle, to ascer* tain if any private marks are on it. The cane was adjourned until 2 p.m., when Counal, the salesmam at Dawson 's, will be examined as to who purchased the handcuffs. .
