HALCOMBE AND SHERWILL'S STOCK REPORT.

Yesterday we held the largest nud most successful sale that we have ever held in Feilding, yarding 475 head of cattle and 550 sheep, all of which were .sold under the hammer with the exception of one pen of fat cows and a few heifers. The following prices were realized :— Beef (bullocks), £7 10s; beef (cows), £5 3s to £5 11s ; weaners, 17s 6d, £1 Is to £1 6s 6d ; dairy cows, £3 os to £6 ; yearlings, £1 10s to £2 Is ; 18--month steers, £2 2s to £3 ; store cows, £2 to £2 8s 6d ; 2-yr heifers, £2 6s 6d ; 2-yr steers, £3 9s to £3 12s 6d ; 2£-yr steers, £4 Is ; hoggetts, 6s 6d to 8s 9d ; forward wethers, lls 3d ; empty ewes, 8s 9d ; ewes in lamb (poor) 5s 6d ; fat wethers, 12s Id to 12s 6d.
