LONDON WOOL SALES. [reuter's telegrams.] Wellington, Sept. 10. The New Zealand Loan Mercantile Agency Company have received the following telegram from London, dated the Btli instant:— Wool sales progress flatly since the close of last sales. The following decline in prices per Ib may be noted:— Greasy, Id to lsd ; clothing (washed), and coinbind (washed), lid to 2d; scoured, 2d ; fine greasy crossbred, ; fine washed crossbred, Mto Id ; fine scoured crossbred, 1; coarse greasy crossbreds, £d ; coarsewashed crossbred, Id ; coarse scoured crossbred, Id to l|d ; lambs, id to Id. American demand is good for long staple Merino, light in grease. The hop crops' prospects here are uncertain, and the plant is more or less affected by mould. The yield on the Continent and America is expected to be exceptionally good. New Zealand hops are worth 40s per cwt.
