LONDON WOOL SALES.

(PBB VMITKD PBRBB ASSOCIATION*). W-I.MNOTON, Sept. 3. The Now Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company (Limited) have received the following telegram, dated London, Ist September : — The wool sales opened to-day at an average decline of 5 per cent, on last sales closing rates. For crossbreds tho market is unchanged, but generally the market is weak, and the Continental demand poor. The opening catalogue contained 12,000 bales. The sales comprise about 270,000 bates, and about 27,000 bales have been sent te the manufacturing districts direct.
