HALCOMBE AND SHERWILL'S | STOCK REPORT.

We yarded at our Ashhurat sale on 3rd September 150 head of cattle. The attendance was good and the bidding particularly brisk, all being sold under tho hammer with the exception of 15 head upon which the reserve was too high. The prices realised were highly satisfactory to vendors: — Beef (bullocks and cows mixed}, £6 7s 6d; two-year old steers, £3 17s to £3 18s 6d; 18-months old steers, £2 6s 6d ; yearlings (mixed), £2; three-year old bullocks, £5 10s; weaners (mixed), £1 2s 6_ to £1 5s 6d ; two-year old well bred heifers. £3 Is ; cows, £3 6s to £4 ss ; fat cows, £4.
