A lengthy , disoufsion followed, several members protesting, against the proposal to sit on I Saturday, owing to the late sittings of the week.— Tbe Hon. Mr Btout said that he would consider the question, and inform the House of his decision next day. Srptomber 4, At the evening sitting in Committee on the Property Assessment Bill clause 27 providing that the parties to a mortgage might agree as to the payment of the tax on the mortgage was struck out, clause 13, which had been postponed, was considered tbe £500 exemption was carried. The remainder of the bill was agreed to with slight amendments and it was read a third time and passed.
