FROZEN MEAT TRADE. CHOLERA STILL SPREADING IN SPAIN. PARNELL AND THE TORIES. [BXVTEBB TKLEGBABMB.I > London, August 30. It is generally believed that the meet* ing of Emperors (Russia and Austria) at the Kxemsin, has resulted in a re* affirmation of the triple alliance. The Marquis of Hartington, addressing his continuents at Waterford, Lancashire, yesterday, said that if Mr Parnell and his followers persisted in urging their impossible demands, the Opposition would combine with the Government to place a veto upon their pretensions. The New Zealand Shipping Company's i R.M.S. Aorangi left Plymouth yesterday afternoon for Auckland, calling at Teneriffe and the Cape of Good Hope en route. The shipment of frozen mutton per Orient s.s. Liguria has arrived in excellent condition, and is realising 4d to 4£d per lb. The cholera epidemic is increasing in violence in Spain, alio in Marseilles and Toulon, the disease is spreading and the number of deaths is on the increase. An outbreak of the disease is also reported in Italy, and great precautions are being taken to prevent its spread in that country. It is probable that an interview will shortly take place between the Marquis of Salisbury and Mr de Freycinet, the French Minister of Foreign affairs, Dieppe is mentioned as the locality of the meeting. A reconciliation has been effected between Messrs Parnell and Davitt, their difference of opinion on certain matters in connection with the control of the Land League having been adjusted. The leading Tories are urging candidates for Irish constituencies to disavow Mr Parnell as their leader. Received September 1, 1 a.m. London, August 31. Arrived — Ship Northumberland with 14,000 carcasses of frozen meat from Napier, June 4th. Constantinople, August 29. Sir Henry Drummond Wolfe, who is charged with a special mission from England to the Porte, was received at a special audience to-day by the Sultan. Sir Heniy Read gave a message from Her Majesty the Queen expressing a hope that the Sultan would lend his aid to put an end to the present complications existing in Egypt. The Sultan replied that he set great value upon the alliance with the Queen, and that he would appoint suitable persons to discuss the! entire Egyptian question with Sir Drm- 1 mond Wolfe. Hong Kong, August 31. Intelligence from Japan states that cholera has made its appearance at Vagauaki.
