BOBINSON CONFESSES

Melbourne, August 25.
Further inquiry into the Hotham Bant robbery has resulted in the arrest, on suspicion, of the clerk, Robinson, who occupied the premises. When questioned with regard to his movements, his answers were equivocal, and he was proved to hare been in the habit of keeping bad company. August 26. The prisoner Robinson, who confessed to having stolen the money from the Hotham Bank, states that he broke open the drawers of the safe with a chisel, and abstracted the contents. He hired a cab , and proceeding along Brighton Beach, he b«ried the money where the police this morning recovered it, with the exception of the £200 still nacceunted for. Later. At the Police Court to-day Bobinson was charged with robbing the Hotham Bank, and remanded for a week, in order that the evidence may be arranged.
