The Faust Family

This really talentedfamily performed last night to a large audience in the Public Hall. The curtain was raised at eight sharp for the first time 'in the history of the hall. The various parts of the programme were gone through without " let or hindrance," except ofcourse during the usual intermission of ten minutes. The curtain was rung down at a few minutes after ten o'clock. The acrobatic performances of The Family were simply marvellous, and far beyond anything of the kind ever witnessed in Feilding. The loud and prolonged applause which greeted them at intervals, when any more than ordinarily daring feat was performed, showed how much they were, appreciated. The grand representation of ancient and modern statuary, was very good, but no doubt would have been better with limelight effects. Mr H. Yon der Mehden, on the cornet, was brilliant and effective. Tfiq specialities I on the musical glasses and zypohone were very pleasing. The selections on the silver-toned hand-bells by Ted, Robert, and Eugene were exquisitely rendered, and in our opinion far surpassed the noted Lancashire Bellringers. The entertainment closed with a pantomimic sketch entitled " The Terrible Infants," which kept the audience in roars of laughter from beginning to finish. We must conclude this necessarily brief notice by urging on every one who is desirous of witnessing a really good performance to roll up to-night. We would also advise those who would like to secure good seats to go early.
