We are indebted to the secretary of the local Lodge of Odd Fellows for the following statistics read at the last annual meeting held at Aberystroth, "Wales, in May last :— Receipts — Contributions, £603,803 18s 2d; interest, £203,037 16s7d; admissions, £11,020 19s 4d ; total, £817^862, 14s Id. Pay* ments— Sick benefits, £454,108 6s 8d ; funeral benefits, £107,130 18s 6d; total, £561,239 5s 2d. Increase— £256,623 8s lid. Capital— Sick and funeral funds of Lodges, £5,367,089 19s 2d. (These figures do not include the returns of- Lodges, consisting of 5,554 members, which neglected to furnish their returns in proper time.)' In addition to the above total amount of capital of the sick and funeral funds, of the Lodges, there are the following supplementary funds: District funeral funds, £152,507 17b 3d ; widow and f erphan societies, £245,162 11s lid i past grand Lodges, £5,058 14s sd; juvenile branches, £23,783 sd ; benevolent or other funds, £11,186 2s 4d • total, £437,698 6s 4d ; making a total capital of £5,804,788 5s 6d, and being an average amount of nearly £10 per member for the number of members included in the returns. Number of members on the 31st December, 1884, 593,850 ; being an increase of 14,484 members, of which the increase in the colonies has been 5,582. Upwards of 450 delegates attended the meeting, the highest number on record since the committee was formed— -more than half a century ago. '
