Professor and Mrs Baldwin

•About six yean ago Professor 8. 8. Baldwin and Mrs Clara Baldwin the American Clairvoyaats and Mesmerists, created quite a sentation in Australia and Kew Zealand, and now. after a complete roy ago round the world, are aga^a touring the colonies. They will appear at the Public Hall Folding next Tuesday and Wednesday evenings, in their laughable aad peculiar entertainment, comprising thought reading (or mind revealing, as it is sometimes called), . dairvoyaney, mesmerism, and witchcraft generally. Professor Baldwin gives all the mind reading feats of W. Irring Bishop and Stnart Cumberland that have recently been attracting so much attention in England, inch as finding a small pin while ho is blindfolded (the pin having been hidden by a committee of the most preminent citistne) ; also, telling the numbers on a bank note that is held in the pocket of any one of the audience. In addition to these oecnliar noTelties, which hare never been given in New Zealand by any one, Mrs Baldwin's clairvoyancy forms a most interesting item. . People in the audience are requested merely to think of any question they wish aaiwered, and, although thexe queries are not mentioned to any one, yet Clara Baldwin, while in the mesmeric trance state, gives correct answers to these mental questions and then states the question, ft is said that ■he often tells the whereabouts of lost or stelen articles, gives the addresses of long lost or absent friends, and other things of that nature. Professor Baldwin's talk is of the most amusing nature, and is said to keep the audience in roars of laughter., Mr Heotor Lacie, the sextuple. voice! >t , Indian ventriloquist, is engaged .Jbf> Professor Baldwin as a special ntttnetiM* and causes great amusement.
