A man mamed Lines, who had teen residing up country, came down to town and discovered that his wife was cohabiting with a man named O'Connor. He took a revolver, and going to the house in the afternoon, shot hi* wife and O'Connor, and after* wjirds/ shot himself. All three died almost, immediately. A letter to his father showed that the whole affair was premeditated. The woman had a letter in her pocket signed by Linen, giving her leave" to go where she liked, as he would have nothing to do with her. The document ii dated March last.
