The following new bills were introduced : —A bill to define the hours of labour within the colony of New Zealand ; bill to extend the hours of polling at parliamentary elections ; Presbyterian Church Property Bill ; Kepresenlation Act, 1881. Amendment Bill ; Bib'e Reading in Schools Bill ; Alienation of Land BillWANGANUI BANGITIKEI SHEEP DISTHICT* Mr Bryce moved for a return showing (1) The proclaimed crossing piace between the sheep district of Rangitikei and Wanganui, under section 44-«f '"The Sheep Act, 1878;" (2) Copies of all notices received by. the Wanganiii sheep inspector (luring the present year under section 40 of the act ; (3) Copies of all infcrmal notices and notices of less than seven days accepted as sufficient by the said inspector during the same period ; (4) The number of flocks which have crossed from Rangitikei during the same period pursuant to such notices ; (5) The number of flocks, if any which have been met at the boundary and inspected by the Wanganui inspector during the same period; (6) The penalties inflicted under clause 40 during the same period and C6pies of any correspondence connected therewith. — Agreed to. MINISTERS' THAVEtLUrO ALLOWANCES. Mr Hurst moved for a return of the cost and travelling allowances drawn by each Minister! and attendants since 1879 in each year.— Agreed to. Mr Rollcston moved, That copies of all correspondence and all memoranda by the Commissioner of Crown Lands in Canterbury, the Crown Solicitor (Canterbury), Messrs Wusons (solicitors), the late. Minister of Lands (Mr Rolleston), the lAttorney-General, and the SolicitorGeneral, with reference to Messrs Wasons' several applications under the Forest Trees Planting Act, be laid before this House. — \greed to.
