An Extraordinary Case
[pee united fbess association.] . TiMAuxr, June 10 During the trial of Lucas' for 'wounding his wife with intent, an extraordinary scene occurred. The prisoner averred that his wife was perjuring, herself, because of hatred she had taken to' him for the sake of "thartall Chinaman." He declared that he was not, and conld prove it, father of his wife's child. He pressed for an examination, and he and Drs Me Intyre and Hogg retired for the purpose^. After a quarter «f an hour they returned into court, and the medical men informed His Honor that prisoner was a cryptorchid. The trial then proceeded. •
