Feilding Borough Council

Th« special meeting of the Council, «s w^uired.% the. Act, for the purpose of passing the annual Balance Sheet and Statements of the Borough, was held in' the Council Chambers at noon to-day. Present— The Mayor and Crs Nicholas, Iticfi ardson; Fbwles, Bithop, Goodbehere, and Bartholomew. The balance sheet having been already read and discussed, the Mayor read the report of the auditors, after which it was resolved, on -the motion of Cr Goodbehere, seconded by Cr Nicholas, That the Balance Sheet and< Statements tot the year 1 ending 31st March, . ! 1885 f t be* finally settled, and the Mayor be authorised to sign the same, tr ..-'■. The names of .40 defaulting rate^ payers^ere;read put, and one-fifth of these were drawn to be proceeded Against, in accordance with a resolution passed at the lastiineeting.
