Feilding Borough Council
A special meeting of the Council, as required by the Act, was held on Thursday for the purpose of hearing and determining objections to the burgesses list; Present — Councillors Goodbehere (interim Mayor) Bishop, Fowles, Gichard, Nioholas and Worsfold. There being no objections, the burgess list for 1885-86 was duly passed and signed. The special meeting of the Council, as arranged, for the purpose. of considering the financial position of the Borough was then held, the above Cra being present. Cr Goodbehere suggested the adjournment of the meeting, till they would probably be better prepared for the business, "and would have the advantage of the presence and counsel of Mr Macarthur. Cr -Nicholas said. . the meeting had been called, and he thought they had better go on with the business, as Mr Macarthur might not be mayor after aU - .xxxxx^" ' . .
