The Blackmore Case.
At a meeting of the Council last eight,. Cr Carthew moved, and Cr Fowles seconded. That the report of the Public Works Committee with reference to Mr* Blackmore a 8 case be adopted on condition that Mrs Blackmore wait till the Council are in funds for the settlement of her ease, such claim to be paid three months hence. Cr Goodbehere moved, and Cr Worsfold seconded, as an amendment, That the Town Clerk write to Mrs Blackmore bating that the timber is the property of the Council, and requesting fiermission to remove it, and also to inform her that otherwise lecnl proceedings will be taken by the Council to recover damages for its retention. .
