Wanganui Education Board

The monthly meeting of the Board was, held on Tuesday last. APPOINTMENTS COMMITTEE. The following business was done in committee : — Aorangi : Letter stating that the, committee had appointed two cadets. ' The Board refused to recognise them, as they were irregular. — Bulls : Resignation of Miss McDonald accepted ; her name to be retained ; vacancy to be dealt with by the inspector: Kimbolton T£oad School.— A deputation waited on the Board re the aboye school, and the dismissal of the teacher, Mr. Templar, — After full discussion, on theaflotion of Mr Fry, seconded by Mr Bate, it was resolved to hold the matter over till the April meeting. Nominations. — H. Sanson; J. W, Baker, J\ Stevens « (Bulls), S. Taplin,: and 'By A.' Adams (Patea), were nominafed'for the' vacancies on the Board. Taonth.— Mr Sanson reported that he $fid visited the school, and, with soms- $1 the j .Committee, ; looked at the chimney. He ordered the removal of the' chimney, from' the eaves to the gable end. The school also wanted a porck for 'the boys. He moved that the Board vote pound for pound up to £15 towards the extension of the porch, and £10 for. the chimney. ; . Although it would-be advantageous to have it, rhe could not reccommend the expenditure.
