Halcombe Notes

(fbom oub own correspondent.) The Assessment Court was held in Halcombe yesterday morning. There were only three objections, but as there was no appearance of the parties objecting, none of them were sustained. A Small Farm Association has been started, here, with every prospect of success. Two experienced men, Messrs Capper and Botting, have been, appointed to select a block of land, and should their report be favorable, proper application will be made 1 at once to the Minister of Lands.
