Feilding Borough Council
A special meeting of the Council, convened by the Mayor, was held in the Council Chambers oh Thursday evening* for the purpose of considering a proposal to close those portions of Kimbolton road and Manchester street now running through Manchester Square, and diverting the course of these roads, uv other words, of modifiying the plans of the works now being carried oat- on the Square. Present— the Mayor, and Councillors Loudon, GoodSehere, Fowles. Carthew, '79' Nicholas, Worsfold, Thompson and Gichard. * The Mayor made an attempt to explain the objectof the meeting, but was eon* ■iderably in-errupted. ; A very ani mated discussion ensued, and in fact this was probably the liveliest meeting the Council has ever held. Ultimately the following resolution proposed by Cr Loudon and seconded bir Cr Thompson was earred without opposition :' - That the works how in course of con. struction in Kimbolton. Road, and Manchester Square be completed, as por plans and specifications, and for\ which contracts are now let. . ,A " AThe Council thenirose. :'•'' >J
