Education Board
At a meeting of the Education j board held at Wanganui on Tuesday last, the following amongst other business was transacted : — Awahuri : Mr R. C. Mogg was accepted; appointment confirmed. — Bulls: Pupil teacher asked for but attendance did not warrant it at present. — Building Grant Apportionment. Halcombe, partition, lavatory, &c„ £33 ; Bulls, playground, £70; Palmerston, Terrace End, £300; Makino Boad, improvement, £25 ; Ashurst, extension of school and residence, committee to forward estimate ; Beaoonsfield, shed, £10; Feilding, schoolground, (Mr Fry to make inquiries) ; Aorangi, gallery, £10 ; Taonui, chimney repairs (referred to Mr Sanson) ; Halcombe, gallery, &c, £7. Aorangi School. - Mr Sanson gave notice to move at the next meeting that the name of this school be changed. Kimbolton Boad School. -Resolved, on the motion of Mr Bridge, seconded by Mr Fry. That the committee be informed that, after the end of February, the board will not vote salary for the teacher at at present in charge of this school.
