Sir Julius Vogel is in such bad health that he had to be carried on board the | steamer when leu ring Wellington en route for the Hot Springs. The Penzance floating docks, three acres in extent was opened by the retiring Major (AJr Charles C. Boss, M.P ), this being his last formal act of this mayoralty. The docks hare beeii five years building, and have cost, about £70,000.
