Titokowaru in " Paradise "

Patea, This Day.

Titokowaru and his followers after being feted, danced a haka in the domain in the presence of an enormous crowd. The town was taxed to the utmost to provide sleeping accommodation. At noon the Mayor and leading citizens met Titokowaru and the chiefs, when a toast was drank in honor of the event. It is estimated that 4000 people were in Patea yesterday en fete.
