The cricket match between the English eleven and combined Australian team was continued to-day, when the former resumed their first innings-, which closed for a total of 401. The highest scorer was Briggß, c, 125. The Australians then went in for their first innings, and at tbe close of the day had lost three wickets lor 151 runs. The principal scorers were T. Horan (Victorian). c„ 64, and Trimble (Victorian), not ent, 4L The Auckland • Otago cricket ntatch was concluded yesterday at Christchurch and resulted in a victory for Auckland by fire wickets. The weather was fine and the wioket good. The chief feature of tbe Auckland second innings was the splendid baiting of Robinson, who was not out with 42. The fielding of both teams was good.
