The poll for and against the construction of the Road Bridge over the Manawatu River, west of the Gorge, was taken yesterday. In favor of the proposal— 43 votes and £55,463 rateable value. Agai art the proposal — 18 votes and £8.595. Majority in favor— 24 votes and £43,868..
