CORRESPONDENCE.
POST OFFICE LOBBY. TO THE EDTTOB OP 1 TfiT? STAB. Sin, — 'May I claim space in your next issue to call to your notice the objection--1 I able use that certain individuals convert ! the lobby of the Feilding Post Office into, ' viz., a smoking room? The room, no I doubt, is a most handy one for those who I 1 wish to enjoy their evening smoke while ■ awaiting the train, but it does not seem ever to occur to them how very disagreeable it is for those who como in afterwards : for letters, &c, to inhale the stale fumes of the obnoxious weed and bear them about with them for the rest of the evening. — I am, &c, Abwa. t Awahuri, December 13, 1884. [Our correspondent is not perhaps aware that the practice alluded to is entirely contrary to the Kailway Eegulations, and any persons found guilty of smoking in the Post Office Lobby are liable to be fined for such offence. — Ed. F. S.]
