THS MONARCH LIGHTNING SAWING MACHINE.
(advertisement.) ! Mr H. Graff has secured the solo agency for tho introduction of an American invention called " The Monarch Lightning Sawing Machine" which will save an immenso amount of labor and time in all pursuits, in which the crosscutting of logs are necessary such as saw milling, splitting sleepers, posts, stabs, rails, ani shingles, logging up or cutting firewood. For our bush settlements it wili become an implement of great importance and a welcome companion to every goa-head farmer, who has settled on timber land. The machine consists of a " lightning" cross-cut saw of extra quality and stoutness attached to machinery which is set in motion by the turning of a crank by hand and is so arranged, that the crosscut saw is given a true and steady stroke without demanding expenditure of great force from the operator, in fact so little exertion is needed, that a boy 16 or girl 16 years of age can operate it all the day nnd do as much work a3 two men adepts in the use of tho ordinary cross-cut. It is comparatively light (tlio weight being only 80 lb:*) and can be easily moved. We understand, that some of our go-a-hend Kiwitea settlers and a local sawmiller are going to givo Mr Graff ordors for the next San Francisco mail. As the first consignment will bo limited to a small number of machines to be transpoted with the greatest despatch via the shortest routo, intending purchasers should not delay in securing a machine in time tor the coming logging .«eason. A purchaser is allowed 30 day*B test trial before paying the final payment. If it does not give satisfaction as a time %nd labor saving machine, it will be taken back and the money refunded. We have uo doubt, that the many good qualities of tins machine and Mr Graff's wollknowu energy will speedily introduce it.
