[bEFTEBS TELBGBAMB.J Uaibo, November 16. The letter from General Gordon received by Lord Wolsey at Debbah. dated Khartoum November 4th, confirms the news of the messacre ot Colonel Stewart and Messrs Power and Herdin by the rebels at Wady el Hoicir. s Gordon expresses delight at hearing of the advance of the British expedition, and hopes to be able to bold out until it Arrives, tie states that he continues wirb the steamers' to harass the enemy when ever they approach Khartoum, and adds that the Mahdi is .only a day's journey distant from that city.
