At the Police Court to-day, Charles Patterson, a seaman on the Kuapehu, was committed for trial on the charge of stealing a gold watch and chiiu, the property ot Robert Gardner, a passenger, during the voyage. Prosecutor is an ironmonger, residing in Wellington. Tlie accused attempted to pawn the watch on arrival at Dunedin
