— FEIDAY, NoVEMBEE 7tH, 1884. (Before H. L^ Sherwill, Esq., J.P.) ALLEGED ILLEOAi IMPOUNDING. M. K. Samuels and Edmond Jennins, of Awahuri brought forward the fact of their having lodged with the said J. P., under protest, poundage fees to release certain cattle impounded in the Awahuri pound by John Noary, and now sought to have the matter argued out in court. Mr Prior appeared for the applip^nfau The following witnesses were examined f — E. Jennins, A. McDonald, M.VK.JSam- r uel, Hoeta, and John Neary, H. Hughes ' acting as interpreter for Hoeta. The total claim of Neary was Ml 4s which the court disallowed, and ordered. him to pay costs as follows i— Hughes'-, ana Hoeta, 10s each ;. and counsel's fee, • 21s; total, £2 ls. A ><
