A disastrous boiler explosion occurred to-day at Billstone, Staffordshire. Four persons were killed, and twenty injured. The jury, in the trial of Captain Dudley and Stevens, mate of the yacht Mignonette, for the murder of Richard Parker, referred the case to the Special Court, and recommend the prisoners to mercy. Accused have now been released on bail. The Right Hon. Mr Fawoett, Post-master-General, is suffering from a severe attack of pneumonia. Later. — Mr Fawcett died this afternoon, aged 51. Soma cases of cholera have occurred here and the outbreak has caused considerable alarm. Twonty-one case 3of cholera, thirteen of which have proved fatal, havo occurcd in this city since Wednesday last. Strict precautions havo been adopted by tho authorities to prevent the spread of the disease.. London, November 7. • In the H ouse of Commons last night the Franchise Bill came up for discussion aud the second reading of the measure was moved by Mr Gladstone.
